Acoustic Tests Derry

Property is a large detached house, with numerous vents around the house at sub floor level.

On walking into the property on my initial observation there was signs of cracked floor tiles
throughout the kitchen and hallway. There were no obvious signs of damp.

We have begun the survey with an inspection of the heating system, which took us into the roof space. It was a gravity fed system so I was able to isolate the storage tanks to test for any water escaping. Tanks were isolated for 1 hr with no signs of any water escaping.

We then started an acoustic test on the domestic water and heating pipes to check for any leaks.
Theres was no signs of leaks with the acoustic test.

I then took the survey to under the stairs and took some damp readings.

We have carried out a full leak detection survey at the property. An acoustic survey and observations have concluded to me that there is no leak from any of the domestic water or heating pipes.

After conversations with the tenant I have concluded that the dryers would need to run more with the possible addition of a blower especially under the stairs were the tenant admitted she had not be using the dryer enough.
