Many people think that a gas safety check is the same as a gas service, but this is incorrect. The gas safety check is essential to ensure that all gas appliances are working correctly and safety. These include boilers, cookers, and fires.
These checks need to be carried out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer. Give us a call today if you require Gas Safety Checks. – 07730385266
What your annual gas safety check includes –
As mentioned above a gas safety check is different from a gas service. A gas service will concentrate on inspecting gas appliances, pipework, vents, and flues in detail were as a safety check will include the following –
- Correct operating pressure on all gas appliances.
- Air supply is correct to the appliance and that it is burning gas correctly.
- That flues and chimneys are clear so gases and fumes are emitted safely to the outside of the property from appliances.
- Cut out devices and other safety devices are working correctly on all appliances
Carbon Monoxide poisoning is a thread if you fail to have your gas appliances checked regularly.
Gas Safety Checks for Landlords

The engineer will provide the Landlord Gas Safety Certificate or CP12 to the landlord and this should be available to tenants to confirm that checks have been carried out.
