THE PROPERTY.
The house is a detached bungalow house, garage.
CLIENT ISSUE.
I was called out by Mr wheeler as his radiator were not filling up and heat system was constantly filling.
Discoveries
Initial inspection of the property revealed no leaks from the first floor so we concentrated our survey on the ground floor. A moisture survey revealed moisture in the hot-press area but no obvious area of the leak, so we then carried out an acoustic and tracer gas test to find the leak.
After carrying out our acoustic and tracer gas tests, they revealed the leak to be under the wooden and concrete floor in the main living room to the right side of the fireplace. We had to clear the room ,lift the wooden floor and excavate the concrete floor to reveal the leak.
